Ron

Ronald G. Cooley. Ron Cooley has practiced in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate and Personal Injury Law in Arizona since 1963. An Arizona native, he received his law degree from the University of Arizona in 1962, and his undergraduate degree in biology from Arizona State University in 1957. A member of the State Bar of Arizona Probate and Trust Section, Ron focuses his practice with Cooley & Robbins primarily in the broad areas of estate and trust administration. Prior to his legal career, Ron served in the United States Coast Guard. He is a history buff and takes a great interest in wellness programs and holistic healthcare.

 

Susan M. Robbins. Susan Robbins, an Arizona native, has practiced law since 1988, after graduating from the Arizona State University College of Law. Susan is a member of the State Bar Probate and Trust Section and the State Bar Mental Health and Elder Law Section, where she served on the Executive Council. In addition to her mediation practice, Susan represents firm clients in the area of contested estate/trust administration and guardianship/conservatorship proceedings. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work, and worked in medical social work, health care management and mental health prior to embarking on her legal career. Susan is a past president of the Board of Directors for Phoenix Interfaith Counseling, a community mental health agency.

 

  

Susan Turner Mathew. Susan Turner Mathew serves Cooley & Robbins as an estate planning attorney. Susan represents clients of all ages as they identify their estate planning needs and explore their family and charitably legacy goals. She received her law degree from Arizona State University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. When not practicing law, Susan is involved in several education-based service organizations. She makes a valiant effort to keep up with her husband, two teenagers and the family dogs, cats and horse.


 

Laura Still. Laura joined Cooley & Robbins prior to her admission to the State Bar of Arizona in 2008. Capable in many areas, Laura works with clients in all areas of the firm practice, including estate planning and administration. Laura obtained her Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Southern California and her Law Degree from the University of Miami. Laura was born and raised in Torrance, California and enjoys spending time with her mother and sister.


 

 

 

 

Valerie Burgess. Valerie began her Legal Assistant career when she joined Cooley & Robbins in 2006. Valerie's conscientious attention to detail and dedication to client service helps to keep a smooth and productive work environment at Cooley & Robbins. Originally from Lakewood, Colorado, she has adapted to the warm summers and mild winters in Arizona. Valerie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

 

 

Patricia Hamilton. Pat Hamilton brings cohesiveness and calm to Cooley & Robbins as an Administrative Assistant, and is the person who most often greets clients on the telephone. Pat's gracious manner makes everyone who comes to our office feel welcome. Originally from the Midwest, Pat and her husband traveled the world before settling in Arizona in 1978.

 

Mimi Moore. Mimi came to Cooley & Robbins in 2008 as an Administrative Assistant after spending 27 years working for JP Morgan Chase Bank in Private Client Services. Mimi's excellent administrative skills and positive attitude are a great addition to the Cooley & Robbins family. A native Arizonan, she enjoys bowling, her stable of retired racehorses and spending quality time with her grand kids.

 

 

Nicole Sabatina. Operations Manager Nicole Sabatina joined Cooley & Robbins in 2005. Nicole has a degree in Computer Information Systems, and worked for five years in computer programming and technical support at Charles Schwab. Nicole's capable professional skills and abilities keep the firm's technology running smoothly and current. In addition to her technology career, Nicole was a nursing assistant in west valley hospitals and care facilities for many years. Almost a native, she has lived in Arizona for nearly two decades.

 

 

Katherine Trojahn. Katherine came to Cooley & Robbins in August of 2007 with several years experience as a certified paralegal in probate and trust administration. Working primarily with trust and estate administration, Katherine knowledgably guides clients through the process. Katherine attended the University of Arizona. She was born in Royal Oak Michigan but has lived in Arizona on and off for the last 18 years.
