Probate/Administering Decedents’ Estates.

When a loved one dies, it is often difficult to know what, if anything, must be accomplished legally. Many times, a brief consultation with one of our attorneys can put a client’s mind at ease, and nothing else is required.

In other cases, regardless of the size of an estate, the task may be far more complex. Our job at Cooley & Robbins is to evaluate the situation and to recommend a course or courses of action that will be the most efficient and economical to fully administer the estate of the deceased person, whether there is a Will, a Trust or no document at all.

If a probate proceeding is required, our experienced attorneys and legal assistants will efficiently administer the deceased person’s estate, keeping the client informed at each step of the process.

We are well able to handle challenges and conflicts with or among heirs and beneficiaries, as well. We also represent clients who are heirs or beneficiaries in a dispute over who is qualified to manage an estate.
