Ronald G. Cooley. Ron Cooley
has practiced in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate and Personal Injury
Law in Arizona
since 1963. An Arizona native, he received
his law degree from the University
of Arizona in
1962. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Arizona State University
in 1957 and served in the United States Coast Guard. He is a history
buff and takes a great interest in wellness programs and holistic
healthcare. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona Probate and
Trust Section.

Susan M. Robbins. Susan Robbins, an Arizona native, has
practiced law since 1988, after graduating from the Arizona State
University College of Law. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees
in Social Work, and worked in medical social work, health care management
and mental health prior to entering law school. She is a member of the
State Bar Probate and Trust Section and the State Bar Mental Health and
Elder Law Section, where she served on the Executive Council. She is
past president of the Board of Directors for Phoenix Interfaith Counseling,
a community mental health agency.

Patti J. Shelton. Patti
Shelton was admitted to practice law in Arizona
in 1995, when she obtained her law degree from Arizona State
University.
Upon graduation, she was involved in civil rights litigation in Arizona. She
served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Arizona Office of the
Attorney General in licensing and enforcement for five years before joining
Cooley & Robbins. She has a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree
in Political Science, and is an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Arizona State University.
She enjoys classical music, and is active in community affairs.

Patricia Hamilton. Pat Hamilton
brings cohesiveness and calm to Cooley & Robbins as an Administrative
Assistant, and is the person who most often greets clients on the
telephone. She is from the mid-west, originally, and has traveled
with her husband all over the world before settling in Arizona in 1978.

Ravinette Montijo. Ravinette Montijo is an Arizona
native and a graduate of Arizona
State University.
She has worked in the legal field for over 18 years. At Cooley &
Robbins she is the Office Manager and chief Estate Planning Legal Assistant
for Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and other legal documents.

Nancy Williams. Nancy
Williams is a Certified Legal Assistant, Probate Specialist certified by
the National Association of Legal Assistants. She has 20 years of
experience in complex probate and trust administration in Sun City and in Phoenix. She
worked as an Estate Administrator with the Maricopa County Public Fiduciary
for six years, before joining Cooley & Robbins as a probate and trust
specialist.

Sharon Janzen. Sharon
Janzen is an R.N./paralegal
with an extensive background in hospital, nursing home and hospice care in Arizona and in Oregon.
Guardianship and Conservatorship is one of her
areas of specialty at Cooley & Robbins, where she also plays a critical
role in the firm’s personal injury, wrongful death, malpractice and
abuse/exploitation cases
Carl W. Eckhardt, Jr. Carl Eckhardt is a native of
the Pacific Northwest, graduated from Washington State
University in 1971
with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He graduated from the University of Idaho
Law School in 1974. He is admitted
to practice in Arizona and is an inactive
member of the bars of Washington State and California. He served in both the Marines and Air
Force as a judge advocate, retiring to Arizona in 1993, where he was in private
practice until joining the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in 1996. There he prosecuted felonies involving
impaired driving. He was appointed
as a Maricopa County Superior Court Commissioner in January 2001, serving
until February 2005. His practice
with Cooley & Robbins focuses on probate, criminal and family law
matters.
